志賀高原ビール　THE FAR EAST（製造年月：20.01）
Barrel Aged Imperial House IPA。
おそらく2020年に買って、冷蔵庫保管してあったもの。
2020年というと、コロナ真っ最中の頃。
いつまでも冷蔵庫に寝かしておくのもどうかと思うので、ついに開けてみた。
飲んでみると、かなり丸くなった印象。
THE FAR EASTってもっと尖ったイメージなのだけど、寝かすとだいぶ印象が変わる。
ドライイチジク、レーズンのような甘い風味は健在。
木材を思わせるスパイシーな風味が、しっかりと。
アーモンド、ナッツのような香ばしい風味も強く。
若干、紹興酒っぽい風味もする。
トロッとした感じがあり、柔らかく、滑らかな口当たり。
苦みは、抑えめな感じ
ボディは重いのだけど、アルコール度数15%というわりには飲みやすい。
とても美味しいのだけど、寝かせ過ぎてしまったかも。
もう少し早く飲んだほうが、風味豊かで、もっと面白かったかもしれない。

以下、なんちゃって英訳。
間違っているところや変なところもあるとは思うけれど、今は、これが精一杯。

Probably bought in 2020 and kept in the fridge.
I bought it in 2020, probably in the middle of Corona.
I thought it would be a good idea to keep it in the fridge forever, so I finally opened it.
When I drank it, I got the impression that it was much rounder.
I have an image of THE FAR EAST being more sharp, but when I let it sit, the impression changes a lot.
The sweet flavors of dried figs and raisins are still there.
The spicy flavor, reminiscent of wood, is solid.
The savory flavors of almonds and nuts are also strong.
Some Shaoxing wine-like flavors.
The mouthfeel is soft and smooth, with a thick texture.
The bitterness is restrained
The body is heavy, but it is easy to drink for its 15% alcohol content.
Very tasty, but I think I may have let it sit too long.
It would have been more flavorful and interesting if I drank it a little earlier.
