志賀高原ビール　Takashi in Paris
インペリアルスタウト。
コニャック樽で熟成させたビール。
買ってから、さらに2年くらい冷蔵庫で寝かせておいたものを開けてみた。
買ってすぐ飲んだときも良かったのだけど、更に美味しくなった感じ。
もともとインペリアルスタウトのわりに飲みやすかった。
寝かせたことで、丸くなり、更に飲みやすくなった印象。
レーズン、ベリー、カシスのような風味が感じられる。
ナッツを思わせる香ばしい風味も少し。
なんとなくサイダーを連想させる、甘くフルーティーな風味も。
温度が上がると、若干酸味が出てきて、更に風味豊かになっていく。
トロリとした感じがあり、柔らかで滑らかな口当たり。
ボディは、やや重め。
ほのかに甘い感じがあるのだけど、後味はドライ
アルコール度数の高さを感じさせず、インペリアルスタウトとは思えない飲みやすさ。
これは寝かせて正解だった。
もっと寝かせてみても良かったのだけど、今が飲み頃かもしれない。

以下、なんちゃって英訳。
間違っているところや変なところもあるとは思うけれど、今は、これが精一杯。

Imperial Stout.
A beer aged in cognac barrels.
I opened it after it had been sitting in the fridge for about 2 more years since I bought it.
It was good when I drank it right after I bought it, but now it tastes even better.
It was originally easy to drink for an imperial stout.
I got the impression that it had become rounder and even easier to drink after it had been laid down.
It has raisin, berry, and cassis-like flavors.
There is also a slight savory flavor reminiscent of nuts.
There is also a sweet, fruity flavor, somewhat reminiscent of cider.
As the temperature rises, a slight sourness emerges and the flavor becomes even richer.
The mouthfeel is soft and smooth, with a smooth and tender feel.
The body is slightly heavy.
There is a hint of sweetness, but the finish is dry.
The high alcohol content is not felt and it is easy to drink, not like an imperial stout.
It was a good decision to let it sit.
I could have let it sit longer, but now might be a good time to drink it.
