Founders Curmudgeon’s Better Half
オールドエール。
「Curmudgeon」というビールを、メープルシロップが漬けられていたバーボン樽で熟成させたものが、今回飲んだ「Curmudgeon’s Better Half」らしい。
芳醇な甘い香りが感じられる。
具体的には、レーズンやイチジクのドライフルーツを思わせる甘い香り。
また、バーボン独特のクセのある風味が、感じられる。
やや甘めの飲み口ながら、しつこい感じはない。
苦味は、ほど良く。
ボディは、それほど重くない。
アルコール度数がかなり高いのだけど、甘いせいか意外と飲みやすい。
飲み終わった頃には、それなりに酔いが回ってた。
お店で飲むよりは、家でのんびりしながら、ゆっくり飲みたい感じのビール。
また飲む機会があるといいなぁ。

間違っているところや変なところもあるとは思うけれど、今は、これが精一杯。

“Curmudgeon’s Better Half” is a “Curmudgeon” that was aged in a bourbon barrel.
A rich and sweet scent is felt.
Specifically, it has a sweet scent like dried raisins and figs.
Also, you can feel the unique flavor of Bourbon.
Although it is a slightly sweet mouth, there is no persistent feeling.
The bitterness is moderate.
The body is not so heavy.
Alcohol content is quite high, but it is easy to drink because of its sweetness.
When I finished drinking, I was getting drunk.
Rather than drinking at a store, I want to drink slowly while relaxing at home.
I wish I had the opportunity to drink again.
